Confused
So, now my desktop works happily. I seem to remember something about the network in this house, in that my computer would not connect unless my mother's computer is turned on. This might make sense, given that to get to the ISDN, my computer has to go through a router, then through her computer, then to the modem.
The problem with this is that my laptop has access just fine over wireless, even when my mother's computer is off. The first router that my desktop goes through happens to be the house wireless base station.
What the heck?
No sense, no sense at all.
