The perks in living over the boiler room include that it's always (usually) nice and warm.

The flaws include that it sounds like someone is hacksawing through my floor.

My thoughts exactly. There's a reason that there are always frosh in Boiler Suite.

Don't be surprised if people start flocking to your room in the next couple of months just because it's toasty. I can't tell you how many times I've nearly fallen asleep on the floor in 115.

You've got those backwards. The uncomfortable heat is a flaw; the vibrating floor is the compensation.

Not when it's vibrating THAT loud. And if it's too hot, you can just crack the door a bit.

Fortunately, the construction is long over, but it took much of the previous vibration with it. Apparently the new boiler is calmer.

I'm really glad the construction is over. No more waking up at 8 AM on a saturday!
