I don't do this often, but I've locked my door with no intention of going to bed.
I don't feel qualified to leave the apartment, tonight. I made the mistake of trying to go to the store... even with a very specific list, I walked up and down the store twice looking for the fucking cheerios. I don't as much mind the disorientation as I mind the frustration and mild panic that came with it... I really feel like I ought to be in better control than that. Apparently I'm not.
Right now I should curl up into a little ball. Since that would put me at undue risk of being mauled to death by kittens, however, I will spend the rest of the night reading some combination of Something Positive and Ender's Game. (Yes, this is the first Orson Scott Card that I've read. I never got around to it before.) That should keep me in place until I can sleep, at least.
I'm disappointed that I didn't get a well-placed flame off earlier when I had the opportunity. I'll try harder nest time.
