Impromtu food
I was hungry late at night, and you know what that means: Experiments with food! This one worked. A recipe for you:
5/2 c baking mix
1 tbsp (or more) chili powder (or similar)
Frozen chicken tenderloins
2/3 c milk
Cheddar cheese
Combine the baking mix and chili powder in a nice big bowl. Defrost the chicken and squish each piece pretty flat. rag the chicken around in the powder until each piece is nice and covered (having gloves helps here so you can really squish the powder into the chicken). With a sprayed pan, cook the chicken a few minutes on each side, until it starts to blacken and smoke. Tear it into bits and set it aside.
Stir the milk into the remaining powder (which will be most of it). Form into biscuits and cook as usual (~10 minutes at 450). Make mini chicken sandwiches with grated cheese on biscuits.
It's a whole lot of orange and a whole lot of delicious.
