I went "This is probably an april fools'" but I've known enough people who got to the "all but officially accepted" stage and then got dumped for one reason or another that I didn't jump to conclusions.

Now what would be really funny(?) was if they actually *did* do that to you, but it was only an April Fools' joke, and they called you back today with the offer.
