Hmm.

Started at 8 last night, now 62% done. Should be done sometime while I'm at rehearsal tonight.

I had the revelation (in the shower, where all good revelations happen) that I could speed it up a lot by checking for escape velocity. Now if only I remembered the formula for it. Maybe I need to dig up my frosh physics book.

It shouldn't be that hard to rederive; it's just the velocity that corresponds to as much kinetic energy as the potential you started with. Unless you're on an orbiting body or something weird like that, but in that case the frosh physics book won't help you and you should probably start talking to theomech-type people.

And I totally agree with you about the shower thing.
