Opening night

Virgins, virgins, roly poly virgins. Virgins, virgins, eat them up, yum!

Really. About half the audience. The opening ceremony was thus awfully crowded, but what the hell, you know? The show rocked, though. With such a virginal audience, it was pretty much just me, Sarah, and Sasha calling out the really good ones - I've picked up a lot over the last couple months, and they really come in handy. Came out feeling refreshed and definitely knowing it's all been worth it.

Need to remember to take extra-good care of my voice tomorrow, and be warmed up. And sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Virgins

Alright, I have to ask...

What exactly is a Rocky Horror virgin and what is generally done to them to break them in at their first showing?

I've never been able to sit through the movie in entirety, so I may just be that much of an idiot. I've got a collection of online acquaintances who are apparently Rocky Horror veterans, though, who just light up when talking about the amount of virgins in the audience and have never gotten around to telling me what exactly they're speaking of.

A virgin is anyone who's never seen the show with a cast acting it out in front of the screen, or in our case, we've got no screen, just a cast. Watching the movie in the living room by yourself, or even with friends, doesn't count even if you're calling back.

Er... posted too early...

Different places are more or less cruel to their virgins. We have some of them eat bananas out of the others' crotches, or make them eat whipped cream off of each other, and some other pretty tame stuff.... some places line up the virgins, then have them bend over and let the regulars hump them from behind.
