That is all it took. I'm in the back of Galileo, half-watching X-2 at Super Movie Night, half doing my theatre homework. I looked up just long enough to hear Nightcrawler speak those words after Jean's death, and that's all it took to threaten to overwhelm me with tears.

Is that all it takes to break through to me, now?

Is that how thin I'm wearing?

I think it's time for this semester to be over.

Actually, it's that Alan Cumming is an incredible actor who puts real emotion and meaning into his lines. He brought a dimension to Nightcrawler that I never thought possible and I'm a huge fan of the comic.

Well, if it's any consolation, the movie sure as hell got to me, too. There's a reason I ran to the bathroom when I did, and that I left pretty much as soon as it ended. I always forget how much that movie affects me, especially when I'm the least bit stressed/strained/upset/whatever.

Huh... i guess its a little different when you own the Phoenix Saga in comic form and have read it a bunch of times... i found Jean's death in the movie to be less satisfying.
