Phew.
Verizon's website finally acknowledges that our line is connected. And they let me order DSL, and a wireless router.
(The large type insists that the desktops will also need wireless adapters. It's a fucking liar. The specs on the router, in the small type, clearly say that there's a four-port 10/100 switch.
The DSL stuff should be delivered "within five business days" and the wireless router "within seven". Gods willing, we'll have internet in the apartment by the weekend.
Mid-case scenario - does anyone have a hub or switch we can borrow if the DSL shows up but the router doesn't?
Worst case scenario, we're back on campus for Sunday campaign.

Back to work. I can't ethically leave before 7, again. At least I brought lunch this time - even if I didn't bring water like I meant to.
