And, here it comes.
Well, I'm back in Colorado safely. The flight was flawless, except the fellow next to me squeezing between the armrests - since he did fit between them, this was not in fact an issue. Got in, caught up on many of the local goings-on. It seems even here I do not have a satisfactorially working internet connection; until I poke through the tangle of cords in my brother's room (in the morning and/or afternoon) I am forced to hijack one of the many other computers littering this house. Right now I'm quietly typing away in my father's office, on a system whose only redeeming quality is two monitors. Note to self: see if parents have an extra PCI graphics card or two lying around. Steal them to make Desktop!Memnus and Bane double-monitor systems.
And, tomorrow is the wonderful mystical family reunion/meeting, where we get to bicker about how only Dad ever does work around the club, and we no longer have insurance becasue the company decided to stop providing it. After that is the potluck dinner where everybody migrates to the lake and mulls around various things of questionable nutritional content, and I sit in the corner biting my tongue hoping to the Gods that the only political issue that I care enough about to defend ground on DOES NOT COME UP. I suspect several people would not be thrilled to hear that I support gay marriage and other such blasphemies.
There are still people that I need to get in touch with, regarding RenFest, Spiderman 2, Farenheit 9/11, and Illuminati, in approximately that order. As usual, phones do not love me, and I spent much of the afternoon in a useless game of phone tag. Well, it was more of a game of phone blind-man's-bluff, really.
Jeff, I found that the door to your suite was locked, so I slipped the key under it as best I could. Did you get it?
MacKenzie, if the answer to the previous question is no, please for the love of Gouda run over to my apartment and give Zoe lots of love and food.
Robin, I yoinked Noir off your shelf to entertain me on the plane rides. Dear gods, the flowery imagery and metaphors. It makes my eyes hurt. Also, American Gods and Smoke and Mirrors are sitting flat on a shelf, awaiting your judgement on where they shall be enthroned.

My parents are coming by tomorrow, so I'll bring them over to play with Zoe too if that's all right.

And she likes eating everyone's fingers. there should be a small chew-bone or two over there somewhere that you can present to her if she starts gnawing on you, but she'll have to keep being reminded of it.

MacKenzie, as far as I'm concerned you can go over whenever you like.

I'll still take care of the feeding. That way, we don't have both of us giving Zoe food at once and getting her all fat or something. But I'm sure she'd love having another person to play with. I can't stay there all the time (how would I check my email? ^_^)
