Around here, "Unlimited" means "8 hours per day".

I've been dead to the world today, because when my parents' ISP said unlimited access, they meant that we'd be cut off for using it more than 16 hours in a day. Not only 16 hours, but 16 line-hours, on two lines, meaning 8 hours. So no chatting or the like for me tonight except maybe a little. If nothing else, I have to go into town and get cash so I can get out of parking; I may go see a movie if I can get in touch with people. My track record is not, however, good. I may skulk into town, not even getting out of my car, go to the drive-up ATM, and then turn right back around.

Jeff, where can I find you at about 10:30 tomorrow to get my key back? Or MacKenzie, where can I find you if you're easier to find than Jeff? I do, well, need to get into my apartment.

Of course, knowing me, my first stop getting home will be the lab, because there is NO INTERNET at my humble home. It makes me sad. And there will be no internet for certainly the rest of the week, if not two.

Maybe Verizon can be reasonable. Except I'd much rather have DSL, which comes over a sane thing like a phone line, than cable, which is the same thing that goes into a TV. There shall not be a true TV in my home so long as I, well, don't have a good reason to get one.

In other news, summer-l has turned into community-l, as far as I can tell.

Anyway. Maybe I actually call Jeremy and/or David now; maybe I just drive my sorry ass into town.
