Bright spots...

I should have taken my bike to the Pitzer shop months ago.  It was suddenly flat last night, so I dropped it off on the way to archery this morning.  Now, it rides smoothly, doesn't squeak and squeal like it did, and has a full range of shifting.  Still has a pretty worn back tire; if it craps out again I'll have the whole thing replaced instead of just the tube.

I also broke into my emergency consciousness measures, with caffeine supplies for Theocomp.  While a touch headachey, I stayed awake and alert through a (remarkably, uninspiring) student lecture and made Ran happy.  So not everything is so bad.

Worst thing coming up: That horrific paper.  Nearly as much work: Video refilming and final cut.  Closer to done than I think: Theocomp.  Lots of time, not much to actually do: Rocky.  Blessing of the weekend: no grading.

Two weeks. If I'm still going strong in two weeks, I'm home free.

Pitzer shop? Where/what is this, and do they fix bikes? (My bike tires have been dead since summer and i have been far too lazy to fix it.. )

Green Bike Program. If you go to McConnell (the dining hall) then go just a bit east, there's a parking lot. The shop has a door opening onto that parking lot, and is open from 10-1 on wednesdays. It's probably open a lot more often than that, but that's when I've been there.

They do whatever bike repairs you need, and only charge for parts (tire tubes are $2.50 each). Good deal.
