Ideas to remember (video production)

Voice-over/depressing stuff is all actually some random person from the future, or maybe a superhero, telling a shrink about a dream.  Shrink may or may not be a computer.

Watch this space for script updates to that section.

Scene 4

[Shot: the camera tracks around him as he turns around, staring into the distance, slowly turning opposite the motion of the camera.]

VO: The hardest part is when I find myself thinking - is this even real? Is it all a dream?

[The camera motion slows down, and everything except his face blurs.]

VO: I keep losing track of the difference. Sleep is hardly a comfort, anymore.

[Shot: just his eyes, closed tightly]

Female voice: How often is this?

[Shot cuts further out, we see he is lying on a couch. His eyes open, voice is now sync.]

Him: It all fits together. Every night is another part of it.

Voice: Do you dream anything else?

Him: Nothing that doesn't fit, somewhere.

[Shot cuts out again, and we see the source of the other voice. She is the same woman we caught a glance of in the hall.]

Her: Interesting. While constructing an alternate existence is a natural defense mechanism, most heroes manifest this by living in their secret identity. Perhaps, since you've decided to live openly as a super hero, you've needed to find other avenues.

Him: You mean I can't even live as myself if I want to?

[Black. End.]

At the moment, [livejournal.com profile] miriamlives, I want you as the guest star in this last scene. It'd just be maybe an hour of filming this weekend.

Congratulations. I am so confused right now. I guess I'll have you explain later...
