Couple questions

First: Does anyone else agree with me that the interesting part of music happens above 200 hertz?  Time Suck, now that they've replaced their penises subwoofers seem to disagree; at least, the bass is now distinctly audible in the lounge.

Second and more importantly: Can anyone give me a comparison of the work in PLs and E-85 (digital)? Prof. Thom gave me a very funny look when she say PLs, Graphics, and Clinic on my card, and I'm looking into alternatives.

Completely agree. I usually attenuate the bass on my amp for that reason.

Now I'm getting a most amusing image of the members of TimeSuck wandering around with large, conical bulges in their pants.

Speaking of penises stereo systems, Jonathan, I still have yours and should give it back.

As for bass, it can be fun--some music does have a strong (and occasionally interesting) bass line--but it doesn't justify having huge subwoofers in your pants

Oh good, I'd been meaning to ask for my penis back. Thanks.

Speakers, I meant speakers.

Do you mean amount-of-work? Kind-of-work is "Well, one's about digital electronics, and the other one's taught in SML".

I'd definitely do PLs fall semester, since it's required for graduation. E85 was just as much work as PLs for me, and E85 is the stuff I like to do, and am fairly good at.

Never took PLs. E85 takes the class from "uhhh, what's binary?" to "Wow. I just designed a microchip" in 1 semester. Fair warning: the labs make extensive use of a wacky software program for design whose name I can't recall (X-something?). They told us that that program is an industry standard. It's also evil.
