Maaaaaaad feast!
Gods, I haven't eaten that well since.... well, arguably since thanksgiving. But thanksgiving lacked really good music. Bit christmassy for my tastes, but not commercially so, so it's all good. I sat back, eating, listening, expecting (hoping? nay, not hoping) to be as much a bystander to the kissing-fruit games as I was to the singing. Much to my surprise, I at some point realized there was a hand in front of my face holding a lemon (now that I think of it, given the poor lighting, it was probably an orange). I looked up and saw a familiar face attached to the hand. Far from being a party pooper, I accepted the fruit and presented my cheek to accept the associated kiss. As she walked away, I finally got a good look at her and was rather taken aback to recognize my girlfriend's (soon to be former) roommate. It struck me as strange, but I was far too much in the mood of the night to be anywhere near disturbed. I dithered a while with the fruit, then once Nick also had one, we propagated them off to Jess and Marguerite. I almost escaped from there, but as I left, Lori was pondering how to get rid of the one we discovered on the floor after the lights came back up and noticed me. I briefly pondered passing it on to Marissa as we walked back north, but then decided to catch Robin when she came around caroling. All told, I had a wonderful night.
