Nrg.
It's either the dead silence (except for the occasional laptop fan and hard drive, which aren't very far from it) or the having spent five hours watching Six Feet Under on headphones, but I feel a little like my skull is being squished.
I'm bored. I think that Mudd has made me very bad at being bored. I also think that this break is poorly organized - things are laid out such that I get two-three days of plans, then five-six days of nothing; that time block just doesn't work to stick something exciting into. Observe:
Tomorrow and Friday:
quartzpebble is here; downtown Denver, skating (maybe), whatever.
Saturday: Family Christmas Eve at cousins' in town. Hide me.
Sunday: Skiing. I hope. I think I hope.
Monday through Wednesday: Nothing definite.
Thursday and Friday:
hmdavid83 here. Find actual stuff to do.
Saturday: Take
hmdavid83 to Boulder, then find out what there's to do for New Year's Eve.
Sunday through Wednesday: Nothing.
Thursday: Dentist appointment; flight back to California.
Friday: Drive to Tulare.
Saturday and Sunday: State Indoor; drive back to LA area.
Monday through Friday: Nothing.
Saturday: Rec class in the morning.
Sunday: Move back into East for Spring semester.
None of those gaps feel like anything I could stick something amazing and exciting into, but they will slowly chip away at my sanity. I'm not sure I'll be returning to school as refreshed and rested as I'd like.
Meanwhile, Portal has all but one grade in. About what I expected: Four classes, 3.667. Far as I can tell, this means Graphics A, E85 A-, Computer Music A-, Clinic B+. Don't think I could ask for much more, and I'm less than surprised that Roselli is a bit behind on getting Latin in.
Getting in touch with people is hard. They've scattered, few of them use IM, I don't have email addresses, and I hate using the telephone. Never mind that my parents' modem stops responding if it's connected for too long, and IM severely speeds up that process. I've also been awake for less than twelve hours, but need to be in downtown Denver in just over another twelve.
It's also ridiculously cold in my bedroom, and the heater doesn't help much, and I'm fresh out of clean fuzzy socks. I guess I just feel like complaining.

On a related note, I completely understand the whole "college destroyed my ability to be bored" thing. You get used to being able to walk into the lounge when you have nothing better to do and find something to do. I'm quite bad at the sitting home thing now too although I used to be very good at it.
