Ill-thought-out feature?

So, we each now have an RSS Atom feed of our LJ entries. A quick test of this shows that it allows anyone to see, perhaps not the entries themselves, but the presence and subjects of locked entries that would perhaps not be otherwise available.

What do you think - good idea, bad idea? The monthly calendar view blocks out the subjects.

Horrible idea! If I don't want people to read a particular entry, then damn it, I don't want them to even see the subject. Thus sucks man. Boo whore.

I am not seeing this problem. When I load in either my RSS or Atom via Thunderbird, I only get my public entries. Same when I load yours in.

I used Firefox to add a livebookmark to my page, and got private entries on the list.

given that I usually don't use/forget to use subjects I don't see it as too much of a problem.

Terrible idea, I often don't put subjects on public entries, but I'll have locked entries like "Somedays I hate my brother" and I don't particularly want my brother or his girlfriend who are both on my friends list to be able to see that subject line...
