I'm failing.
The impulse to drive to chicago was directly shot down, and looking at various travel sites wasn't encouraging. Prices from $250 and up are not easily dealt with for me, and I'd have to work out transportation on each end. Gods, I wish I could drive - just pack the car on Monday, put in the keys, and go. Screw Colorado, screw anyone who might have wanted to come skating after all, I'm going back to my friends. Just me, a few books on tape, and the open road, and in less than a day I can be myself again.
I could see my beloved again.
No, it seems I'm stuck in this gods-forsaken place, with nothing but busy signals, friends in other states, asnwering machines, and my tears slowly soaking into my pant leg.
I feel a lot weaker right now than I have in a long time.
