Little news

I auditioned for Midsummer's.

It went. I stuttered, which made me ache seriously, but I could hear myself echo and fill the stage with my voice, which was a definite plus. I'm like to think that I composed myself nicely and made a good impression as a person and as a student - but the director saw that I was a Mudd student and asked, "You're sure you're going to have time for this?" Blah. So, we'll see. Call-back lists go up tomorrow afternoon. I'm in for either a long leisurely walk, or another bike ride - if the latter, I'll make a trip out of it and finally go to the bank like I so desperately need.

I feel like actually getting up tomorrow, going to breakfast and stuff and just generally not being in a rush. We'll see how appealing that idea seems in the morning, though. Besides, I need to better figure out how to make my peach-berry smoothie.

Good for you! I was too lazy to actually get a monologue prepared on such short notice, and I was more enthusiastic about going to the first day of contra dancing which conflicted pretty badly with audition times. Good luck to you, but don't get your hopes up too much, they've got a ton of senior theater majors to choose from. (Specifically, they have a bunch of senior theater majors whom they are obligated to caste in something because it is required for the theater major.) If you do get a part though, I know the director and she is totally awesome (at least she was for THEA 1).
