Sorry, you're wrong -- that's a peril (singular) of playing TOME, not angband. TOME uses the angband char set, but nothing else. Quite.

It's your own fault for wearing a cloak of immolation. Sheesh, if you didn't want to be attracted to the monsters you were fighting, you'd take it off (and then they'd be attracted to you . . .)

Noj-Arul was decent and went around with at LEAST a cloak on until that hasted mage of frostbolt started him on fire and raped him. Damn that mage.

But elemental aura is not at all ToME exclusive. At least I recall Cthang had Rings of Ice/etc, and I'm fairly sure it goes further up the tree.
