Tech report musings

It's just like a regular lab, with more wanking. Just assume that the reader knows nothing and carry on.

Equations are wonderful. You put each one on its own line, thus increasing your length.

Despite not having or knowing LaTeX, I can still make equations that look geed enough for me. And I can line them up at the "=" as well as anybody.

The Bubble Bobble song has been going for seven minutes and is still on 1/36. I think my WinAmp plugin is broken.

Now, back after rehearsal, I am SO fucked.

Why didn't I start this a week ago?

Nope, it's not broken-- it's supposed to do that. It's not supposed to advance automatically, that way you can listen to the song [over and over]^n. If you want to listen to a different song/sound effect, use the tab to do it manually.

But the tab doesn't do anything either. It moves around and the sound stays the same.

Hmm, that's odd. I'm using Winamp 2.81 and Nosefart 1.5, and I got the Bubble Bobble NSF from http://www.atarihq.com/tsr/nsf/nsf.html. The way it works for me is that the gray tab must be advanced manually to change songs/sound effects, and the songs loop (so keeping the gray tab on one black line keeps the song going forever). Are you using another version of Winamp, a different plugin (perhaps different plugins work differently), or a different sound file (might be configured differently)?

Only different from anything you've listed by .01 version of WinAmp; I'm on 2.80. Eveything else looks exactly the same. Maybe that .01 matters, or I'm not clicking the gray tab hard enough when I move it. Does it advance the song right away, or at the end of the loop?

It's an infinite loop, if you let it. :)

Oh! I misunderstood. Clicking somewhere random on the gray bar doesn't appear to do anything except move the tab around without changing the music. If you grasp the little gray tab with the mouse (click and hold) and drag it somewhere along the gray bar (then release the click), the song will change to whatever song is represented by that specific black tick mark.
