Not only are they giving us labs about stuff way farther ahead in the course, we haven't even had anything resembling it. They give us seventeen variables, then mention what they mean and how to measure them as a footnote later.
It does suck. At least when we took it last year, we had two weeks of the introductory circuit stuff, so we could ease into the course a bit more. And the web quiz system sucks.
I could quite possibly answer questions (I am lab assing the class this semester), so feel free to stop by and ask.
You might want to talk to your Prof about that. I know that some of them are unhappy with the Web Quiz system, and if enough students complained, they might (gasp!) change it.
