Funball: Tired

Roller-coaster of a party. I started strong, but hit the cotton a little too strong and got sick by 10. I spent some time recuping, being lazy, gradually got energy back. I spent alternating time dancing and sitting morosely, until I realized that the playlist was becoming rather a lot of electronica, and I was really not in the mood to dance to something I didn't know and couldn't sing to. So, after the severe beating of the pinata, as Vrableball began I sank into the Funball pit and decided to remain motionless.

I managed to ignore the fact that most of what I could hear was North being loud and intrusive, and did remain motionless. I probably fell asleep, too, but was rudely awakened a bit before 1 when someone very nearly stepped on me, or maybe did step on me. Goes to show I should have been more visible. I retreated up here, and now just want to go to bed so I can do decent work tomorrow. Holy fuck, do I need to, too.

You know, the only electronica i remember from real funball parties is Main Street Electrical Parade, which was played just to be annoying. Given Andrew and Pava, there was probably a couple other quirky electronica songs in there, but no trance, and the electronica wasn't very noticeable. I'm sad that east parties are becoming techno/elec parties. Thats what Linde is for =).

Some of us like trance...I think it is fine as long as there is a fair balance of other music. Even though there have been electronica-themed parties in East, onto themselves, they are VERY different from the kinds of parties Linde throws, both in the type of music that is played (A diverse amount of music falls under that "techno/electronic" label), in the type of people they attract and the general atmosphere. Linde is a lot of way too loud music and people occasionally grinding..it is of a pretty different flavor.
