Big Responsible Sophomore

Turns out I shouldn't have worried about having enough to do last night. After finishing up George's wireless setup (including encryption), I headed into Castle Rock to Jai's party. I thought it was going to be a LAN party, but when I got there, there were only a few computers set up. Most people were just hanging out, talking, drinking, playing pool or Magic. There were more people than I expected, from several different circles of friends: IB kids, gamers, college friends, exchange students. I got in on a huge and disogranized game of Cranium - this makes the second year in a row I've played that at New Years, but this year's was not nearly the same as last year's. Sadly, we tuned in for the ball drop at midnight, and I got a quick midnight kiss from Dara. I made the TV go away, then, so I didn't have to watch random people on Rockin' Eve kissing. *shudder*

From there, Jeremy, David, Katrina, Erin, Dara, Lacey and I snuck out and headed to Jeremy's hot tub. I was the only one that hadn't been drinking at least a little, so I was being a hardnose about nobody else driving. That means seven of us piled into my car, fortunately without incident. That party was more my kind of fun; raucous yet quiet with just a few good friends. By about three, Erin and Lacey had sobered up so I drove them back to their cars; the rest of us crashed. Headed home about ten, got a few more hours of sleep here.

Left to do today: clothes shopping, Indian food with the same crowd. Will be good. And tomorrow darling Robin flies into town.

"By about three, Erin and Lacey had sobered up so I drove them back to their cars; the rest of us crashed."

It took me a second to parse that correctly.

Whoops. Just realized how stupid that phrasing is.
