Moar crack!

Who else is on Twitter? I am. Let me know if I should be stalking you there too. I hope I don't get too addicted to it that I start texting it too often.

I decided to go with the Thinkpad. The only downside is that it'll take three weeks to ship.

I don't understand Twitter. Maybe it's because I don't understand texting?

I'm experimenting with it. It may fall into disfavor.

It's not just you. But then, I've never even updated my facebook status either.

How is it different than a blog? It looks the same except they encourage you to make shorter, more frequent updates.

It seems like the updates are short enough that they're pretty much soundbites, and I'd rather have something a bit more substantial. Also the twitter mobile-network-thing kinda creeps me out... I don't really need that degree of connectedness.

::Nod:: I think Twitter "tweets" are limited to 140 characters. That's a bit short for a significant update---even this comment wouldn't fit.

You might have intentionally set this out as troll bait (why else would hyou have used three hyphens where one would do?), but that comment is 139 characters, not 140.

More generally, though, I agree that 140 words is a rather draconian constraint. Really, they would have to be some impressive words to be worth reading, and even then it would probably just create more questions than it provided answers.

Hmm... It's 141 characters by my count. As for the three hyphens, they were put in by habit, not meant as troll bait. I tend to use three hyphens to represent an em-dash (—) when I'm too lazy to put a proper one in, or when I want to stick to ASCII.

Oh geez. Well done, well done indeed.

I ran the first two lines, but since they matched I never bothered to check the second two lines. Curse you and your equal number of double and single quotes both of which are just numerous enough to push it beyond the threshold.

When I had my phone hooked up to the internet, I used to use it all the time to blog on LJ. It did become addictive. Now, because I'm saving money (yea..uh huh), I have to keep all my blogging ideas in my head and filter them as I go. *laugh*
