Answer Clive these questions five. Who is Clive, you may ask. That may be the greatest question of all.

1. Frosh year: heaven or hell? Both? How do you feel about the next three years?
Not quite heaven, but certainly floating somewhat higher than purgatory. I successfully kept myself busy, striking a decent balance between being social, studying, crack, and even a little sleep, and on top of it all I came out with good grades. Next year will definitely be my trial by fire, though, and shape my entire fate, what with 19 credits in the fall and directing Rocky in the spring. If I pull that off as well as I did this year, I wil be quite proud of myself.

2. Grape Nuts! What's the deal? No grapes, no nuts!
The Grape Nuts that we purchase for breakfast these days are not the original form of the food. In fact, the original Grape Nuts were boxes full of all the seed they removed from seedless grapes. Needless to say, they weren't a hit, or even very digestible, so they did their best to duplicate the effect with grain products.

3. How long have you been involved in theater and theater tech?
I was dragged into tech in 9th grade, ironically, chasing after a girl. Nothing doing there, but I'd found a crowd I wanted to hang out with. I'd always had the inclination to performance skills, but had been painfully shy after being a year younger than all my classmates, but soon grew out of that. I started out on the lights crew for Steel Magnolias and pretty much didn't let a show go by for the rest of high school that I didn't try to be a part of. My first show onstage was Oliver! that spring. Sadly, it took me until senior year to have a decent role in a decent show.

4. Where would you like to live and/or travel later in life?
That's a very good question. There are a lot of places I want to see in my life, possibly/probably the few years after college or grad school. New York, Europe without the constraints of a tour group or schedule. As for living, I've found that geography doesn't affect me much. I'll go wherever my career or the people in my life take me. If I get a job that I can do from home, much later on, I may build myself a home on the family property in Colorado, if I haven't managed to get disowned by then.

5. Have you ever have imaginary friends? Interpret this as loosely as you like if necessary. Did it ever move beyond "just friends?"
I've never had imaginary friends, per se. However, I have had imaginary selves, different parts of me that I occasionally referred to in third person. Also, one of my brain's little quirks is to run over improbable conversations I want to have with other people, usually in situations that are never going to happen. For instance, I run into an ex-girlfriend on the street, who I thought (and maybe even hoped) that I'd never see again.

6. [optional] Who is Clive?
The keeper of the Fridge.

Why does it feel like I'm sitting and watching while everyone and everything quietly falls apart?

Why do I feel like there's nothing I can do to hold them together?

Why can't I tell if I'm falling too?
