Bearer of bad news

I picked up my packaged from home today. Along with my other blue tie and some car paperwork, there was a scrap from the county news-press, regarding the only worthwhile bookstore in Castle Rock.

Hooked on Books is for sale.

Honestly, this is horrible news. Hooked on Books has always been a haven for me, a place to stop in ad wander the books. Gods know how much I've bought there. A good portion of my Star Wars EU novels. My D&D core rulebooks. When I went in to get my DMG, she had a copy of the Monster Manual with it - and sold it to me, two weeks before it was to be released. How many times have I wandered in only to run across a friend or acquaintance?

Maybe the business will go on, under new ownership. Maybe it will even feel almost the same. But it won't be the Hooked on Books that I love.
