(no subject)

I want this week to have never happened.

I'm down in Galileo foyer with the laptop and one simple piece of work that needs to get done tonight, and I don't think I can do it. I feel like I need to curl up in a ball and cry it all away, but I can't even find the energy for tears.

I'm deeply sorry to anyone expecting anything from me right now. I'll most likely let you down.

Better

So I feel better now, and actually got the SciComp done that I needed to. It will go in the owner's box on my way back.

I owe really huge thanks to Mary, for coming down to talk and bringing me tea; to Ali, for being there to rant at, and for understanding; to Carmen, for talking about lots of crazy stuff. Also all of those who offered words of support, it really means a lot to me.

Tomorrow, I start 70, and plow through as much of The Swan as I can stand. Sunday I polish my own SciComp paper (if I have it back) and work on that presentation, and get mostly through 81.
