Well, Baxter had nothing to say that I wouldn't have known anyway, except that I'm 80% likely to not have strep, so it looks like I just get to suffer through it. I think my immune system finally got fed up with the stress and decided, "Yeah, well if that's how you're going to be, you'll have to do it without my help!" So I got sick. A little of everything at first, but now it seems to have made up its mind and decided on my upper chest and nose.

Maybe I wasn't paying attention last year, but I really don't remember this much of an aura of "Are we there yet?" as there is this semester. It seems like people are even more on-edge than usual, like it really wouldn't take very much to make all sorts of things start shattering. I'm just trying to keep my head down, at this point.

I'll be making a Wal-mart trip on Thursday morning (assuming the Sube behaves). I'm getting some large objects, so I don't think I'll have room for anybody except maybe one, but I'll pick things up for people if you let me know what you need. Already on my list:
Paint for the doomful publicity project
New watch
Toothpaste
Bins to move/store stuff in

Speaking of bins, all ye who volunteered to help Robin and I move in, that time is finally approaching. As of May 1st, we'll have a place to take all this random crap out of our rooms and organize it throw it in piles on the floor. So stay tuned for details on that. What we'll need the most help on is moving the waterbed out of Steph's garage and negotiating it into the apartment; the rest will just consist of throwing all our crap into bins then taking those bins to my (or Robin's mom's or possible Robin's) car(s), taking those cars to the apartment, and reversing the process. Though there may be some other furniture-wrangling. Not sure yet.

The only thing I'll bother to say about schoolwork in this entry is that my SciComp project is finally giving me some pretty pictures.

What I need:

Some way to tell Windows either, "This program should be limited to 90% CPU usage, so other programs can have some too," or, "This program should be willing to give up CPU usage to anything else that wants it, since other things will give it back."

Open to suggestions. Task Manager has an option to change a program's priority, but I don't trust it not to fuck me royally.

Oh.

Y'know, I really can't blame my Beowulf cluster code for spitting such STUPID values, before.

When I'm calculating x-acceleration and y-accelerationg, it helps if I assign them to ax and ay, respectively.

Not both to ax.

Check....
