This week, on Adventures in Cooking With an Unmarried Male:

We must now review one of the basic principles of chemistry. Please note that wih few exceptions, things expand when they get hotter. Also note that putting something into the oven makes it hotter. Now note that when your pan is full to the brim with stuff in cheese sauce, you already have to be careful when moving the pan so as not to spill said sauce.

Now, when you put the pan into the oven, do not be surprised when the cheese sauce escapes and drips to the floor of the oven. That wonderful smell is burnt cheese, and you can now see the gorgeous patterns the sun makes in the air as it passes through the tree, through the window, through the smoke, and onto your floor.

When you replace the pan in the oven, now in a foil drip tray with a cookie sheet underneath to catch even more drips, do not be surprised when the final product is just not as good, because you messed up the magical airflow patterns in the oven. Just eat the stuff, and use less macaroni next time.

No pictures this time, I'm afraid.
