Assorted things ... this should get long.
Feb. 16th, 2005 11:11 pmFirst things first. I have a job offer from Laserfiche, a summer internship, $15/hour for "at least six weeks" in the summer. I'm thinking about taking it, getting a summer Metrorail pass, and getting a metric fuckton of reading done this summer on the commute. It's certainly more pay than working at Mudd would be. If anyone has a good reason to talk me out of this, please speak up now.
My bike sprung a severely flat tire today, while I was finishing Theocomp. It was perfectly fine to ride back from Pomona on, but an hour of homework, and bam, it's not rideable. While I have an extra tube and about a third of a bottle of tiregoo, I'd really appreciate it if I could go more than six months without needing to get a new tube. Or, is this the standard lifespan of bike tires?
I have no grading hours next Wednesday, on account of the Algorithms midterm. This has the potential to be such a giant blessing that I can't even put it into words.
Movies Robin and I have watched recently: Saved!, The Dreamers, and (the first half of) Eyes Wide Shut. Yeah, what's to be said about those has been. We need to find a way to tweak this apartment layout in order to (a) get the hot new speakers on this computer and (b) get this computer somewhere we can comfortably watch movies on it.
Speaking of movies, will there be a viewing of Twelfth Night tomorrow sometime? Unfortunately, my schedule sucks so much I might not be able to make it anyway.
I know there's a lot more I want to say; unfortunately, I have no attention span. Consider this a warning that you might get a glut of short, pointless entries from me over the night.
