Well, then.

As expected, did nothing last night. I think this is the first time since tenth grade that I've in fact had that honor. In any case, hoping to get out today instead, especially since dinner here will be split-pea soup (of which I am not a fan) in the company of the in-law from across the road (of whom I grow tired quickly).

It's now 2006. That's a scary number, as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, scary is the right word. I need to hear back from grad schools (looking less and less promising), find a place to live in Santa Clara for the summer, and detach myself from everything I've grown used to in the last few years. It won't be easy, and I'm not looking forward to it. But I don't have a choice.

Starting after third semester, I always kept saying "it'll get easier after this." It never did. Every one since then has had its unique challenges, something new that I had to deal with. And I survived every one. I can do this.
