Chicken fingers! It's like Denny's in your very own home!
I think this may be my craziest attempt at cooking yet. My breakfast entertainment recently has been paging through The Joy of Cooking (it's kinda amazing how a cookbook actually manages to be condescending, but never mind) and reading the "Know your ingredients" section. I happened to find the section on breading for foods.
Do you see the bad idea coming yet?
Mix a half-cup of flour, half-teaspoon salt, and quarter-teaspoon of garlic powder. Throw this in a plastic bag with the nicely thawed and cut chicken breast you've been planning for all day. Voila, instant breading. Throw in the oven.
I thought I'd have them done long before Robin got home and have to serve her cold chicken fingers. Instead she'll be back before they're even done.
Glee!
