Insult added to injury
Nov. 2nd, 2004 12:36 pmI received an absentee ballot today.
This ballot had exactly one thing on it. Referendum 4B, something about a 0.1% sales tax for something cultural. Either that or something about transportation. Nothing about the president, nothing about the Senate or the House, not even any school board members or water commissioners. If I wanted to give a shit, I would have to magically get it to Castle Rock, a thousand miles away, sometime in the next five hours.
I'm not entirely sure that what I've done is legal, but it felt good.
I nailed my absentee ballot to the tree in the courtyard with a bent, rusty bolt.
